The cricket fans and their families including foreign nationals who came to see how the competition would pan out were not disappointed by the quality of play as they watched Cricket Club Abuja (CCA) Tigers beating Indian Millennium by a slim one-run margin to emerge champions and smiled to bank with the cash price of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000) for the winners.

CCA Tigers won the keenly contested final with an emphatic 122 runs after chasing the Indian Millennium down for 121 runs.

Speaking after the match, CCA Tigers captain Saad Tariq-Butt, attributed his side’s victory to discipline, unity and determination.

“The secret is discipline and unity. We stayed together throughout the tournament with common focus and determination. At the beginning it wasn’t easy and I commend the Indian Millennium for putting up a good fight,” Tariq-Butt said.
