A Brazilian woman convicted of repeatedly stalking BTS star Jungkook could be deported from South Korea after receiving a suspended prison sentence for an extended pattern of harassment at his home.
Seoul’s district court sentenced her to one year in prison, suspended for two years, after finding she had visited the singer’s residence multiple times and even rang his doorbell 133 times in a single incident.
Court records show she began showing up at the property in December, allegedly driven by “love” for the K-pop star. Her actions reportedly included leaving letters and photos, loitering around his home, and attempting to gain entry by following a delivery worker.
Despite warnings, police restrictions, and an emergency order barring her from approaching within 100 metres, she allegedly returned repeatedly, about 22 visits in total, before being arrested and prosecuted.
Authorities are now considering deportation unless she successfully appeals the verdict.
