The former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Kanu Agabi, SAN, has donated a two-storey building to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gboko branch, to enhance the working conditions of lawyers.
Commissioning the edifice named Trinity House during the 2026 Law Week held over the weekend in Gboko, Chief Judge of Benue state, Justice Maurice Ahemba Ikpambese, who Justice J.M. Shishi represented, commended Kanu Agabi SAN for giving back to society the legion of blessings he has received from God.
Commenting, a renowned legal practitioner and the oldest member of the NBA Gboko branch, Chief Edward Ashiekaa, SAN, while calling on others to emulate Agabi’s philanthropic nature, described him as a man with a big heart. “Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Kanu Agabi, SAN, has a big heart. He has contributed so much to legal education, and not just legal education, but he has also contributed to education in general. We thank him for giving us this two-storey building, and he donated the whole building to the NBA Gboko branch free of charge”
“I call on others to emulate Kanu Agabi SAN to make life much easier, particularly the young lawyers and other young professionals. He has a philanthropic nature. He always wants to help, irrespective of religion, tribe, or tongue. May God bless him,” Ashiekaa said.
On his part, Chairman of the NBA Gboko Branch, Felix Zahemen Uwar, hailed Agabi’s gesture to the branch, “We commend Kanu Agabi SAN for donating this gigantic storey building to humanity without anything attached to it. Few Nigerians can do that, and he is one of them, and for Kanu Agabi, SAN, to have done this for the Gboko Branch, we can never forget it in a hurry,” Uwar said.
