Paris FC have appointed Englishman Liam Rosenior as their new head coach on a three-year contract that runs until June 2028.
The 41-year-old will officially assume his new role on 9 July when the squad returns for pre-season training, as the ambitious Ligue 1 club begins preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.
Rosenior replaces Antoine Kombouaré, whose short spell in charge comes to an end after taking over in February. The experienced French manager successfully steadied the club, guiding them to an 11th-place finish and comfortably clear of the relegation zone.
His tenure was highlighted by impressive victories over Monaco and newly crowned French champions Paris Saint-Germain, results that underlined the team’s progress during the closing months of the season.
Confirming Kombouaré’s departure, Paris FC said in a statement:
“Following this season and after discussions between all parties involved, it was decided to bring this collaboration to an end in order to open a new chapter in the club’s history.”
Rosenior arrives in the French capital with a growing reputation as one of Europe’s brightest young coaches, despite enduring a difficult year. He was dismissed by Chelsea in April after fewer than four months in charge, having previously impressed at Strasbourg, where his attacking, possession-based philosophy helped establish the club among the top sides in Ligue 1.
Paris FC expressed confidence that Rosenior is the right man to lead the club into a new era, describing him as “one of the most promising coaches of his generation” with “a wealth of experience at the highest level”.
Club director Antoine Arnault, representing the Arnault family’s ownership through the LVMH group, welcomed the appointment and praised the Englishman’s footballing philosophy.
“My family and I are delighted to welcome Liam to Paris FC. I have always been impressed by his philosophy of play and by what he has built with his teams, which often consist of young players,” Arnault said.
Rosenior’s appointment signals Paris FC’s determination to establish themselves as a competitive force in Ligue 1, with the club’s ambitious ownership hoping the former defender can build an attractive, progressive side capable of challenging higher up the table.
