Nollywood actress Cynthia Anijekwu has publicly appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance to support her ongoing medical battle against cancer.

In a video shared on social media on Tuesday, the actress revealed that she is facing a second diagnosis after initially undergoing surgery and chemotherapy for the disease in 2023. She explained that the medical condition has relapsed and spread further to other parts of her body, including her bones.

Anijekwu stated that the financial cost of managing the advanced stage of the illness has become overwhelming for her and her family. She urged well-meaning citizens to support her with financial donations to enable her to access proper medical care.
