Buhari’s Legacy Will Continue To Inspire Nigeria, Says Buba

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) governorship candidate in Bauchi State and lawmaker representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Buba Umar, has joined millions of Nigerians and the international community to mark the first anniversary of the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buba described the late former president as “A leader whose life was dedicated to the service of our dear nation.”

In a statement issued yesterday by his media aide, Comrade Sabo Mohammed, the senator said Buhari would always be remembered for his discipline, integrity, patriotism and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s unity, security and development.

“Throughout his years in public service, both as a military Head of State and as a democratically elected President, he demonstrated courage and dedication in the pursuit of national development and the fight against corruption,” he said.

According to Buba, Buhari’s humility, simplicity and steadfast belief in the Nigerian project earned him the respect and admiration of many Nigerians and the international community.

“His legacy of service, accountability and sacrifice will continue to inspire present and future generations of leaders,” he added.

The senator urged Nigerians to use the first anniversary of Buhari’s passing to reflect on the values he embodied, including honesty, hard work, selfless service and love for the country.

“The greatest tribute we can pay to his memory is to remain united and committed to building a peaceful, prosperous and just Nigeria,” he said.

Buba also prayed for the repose of the former president’s soul.

“On behalf of my family and the good people of Bauchi South Senatorial District, I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT), in His infinite mercy, forgives his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, expands and illuminates his grave, and grants him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.

“May Allah also grant strength, patience and comfort to his family, loved ones and all Nigerians who continue to mourn his loss. May the soul of our beloved former President Muhammadu Buhari rest in perfect peace. Ameen,” he said.
