Gov. Yusuf Inaugurates APC Grassroots Executives In Kano, Targets 2027 Victory

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, on Wednesday inaugurated the All Progressives Congress (APC) local government, ward, and polling unit executives across the state as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration, coordinated through the Office of the Political Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Najib Abdulkadir Salati, also marked the launch of the APC Polling Unit Supporters Association (‘Yan Akwatina) across the state’s 44 local government areas, 484 wards and polling units.

Addressing party members during the event, Yusuf said the APC had begun grassroots mobilisation to secure the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and ensure the party’s victory in all elective positions in the 2027 polls.

He said mobilising supporters from the polling unit level would consolidate the party’s support base and sustain the economic reforms and infrastructure development being pursued by the Tinubu administration.

“As a party, we are building from the grassroots because that is where elections are won. Our goal is to secure victory for President Bola Tinubu and all APC candidates in 2027,” the governor said.

To support the association’s activities, Yusuf announced the donation of plots of land and N100 million.

Earlier, the Governor’s Political Adviser, Mustapha Hamza Bakwana, described the inauguration as the beginning of the party’s grassroots mobilisation strategy for the next general elections.

According to him, the APC Polling Unit Supporters Association has the capacity to mobilise over 1.12 million votes for Tinubu in Kano during the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on behalf of the association, Salati commended the governor for appointing members to positions at the state and local government levels, pledging the group’s commitment to delivering victory for the APC in 2027.

The APC Chairman in Kano State, Umar Doguwa, expressed confidence that the party would record a landslide victory in the state, saying the inauguration of executives across the grassroots would further strengthen the APC’s political structure ahead of the elections.
