The Baale of Ijedodo, Oba-elect of Ijeododo, and chairman of the Lagos State Baales Forum, Chief Abu Jelili Ododo, has said the newly appointed leaders of the forum would expand political structures to support vulnerable Nigerians.

He said the Lagos State Baales Forum has institutionalised leadership through the Key Advisory Council, BoT, and directorate appointments ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Also speaking with journalists during a meeting held in Lagos, the Lagos State Baales Forum convener, Dr Seyi Bamigbade, said the group appointed Hon. Razaq Olushola Ajala, Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa  and Mrs Folashade Ambrose-Medebem to the Advisory Council, Board of Trustees (BOT) and Directorate.

According to him, they will operate in direct alignment with Alhaji Mutiu Are, the Secretary of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and the Chairman of the State Baales Forum Advisory Council.

Bamigbade said the initiative formalises the apex body of traditional community heads across Lagos State, aligning its political machinery with grassroots mobilisation and civic compliance.

Hon. Razaq Olushola Ajala will serve as a Co-Chairman of the Advisory Council. He is the immediate past executive chairman of OChairman/Ojuwoye LCDA and frontline Campaign Director for Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat. Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa (member, Board of Trustees): The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Chairman of Conference 57. Mrs Folashade Ambrose-Medebem will serve as the Principal Director. She is the commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade, and Investment in Lagos State.”

According to Bamigbade, the strategic positions are designed to institutionalise the forum’s reach, adding that the primary focus remains on establishing a credible platform to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, in the upcoming 2027 General Elections.
