Gombe State New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Hon Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki has flagged-off the distribution of 50 cars and 500 motorcycles to party officials and supporters across the state.

Speaking during the distribution of the items to the beneficiaries in his residence in Gombe, Mailantarki said the gesture was to appreciate the support the beneficiaries are giving him and the party in the state.

He said his quest to govern Gombe State is aimed at liberating the people from the chain up of mis-governance under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Mailantarki added that, the distribution of the cars and motorcycles is to boost the morale of the party members especially in helping them deliver the message of hope of the NNPP to the nooks and crannies of the state as the election draws nearer.

“We are not in government but we felt indebted by the support we are always and consistently getting from our party leaders and supporters across the state and this gesture was to modestly recognise and appreciate individual and collective efforts of the beneficiaries,” he said.

The NNPP governorship candidate appealed to other party members who were not included in the empowerment to exercise patience, saying that more empowerment schemes were on the way.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the state chairman of the party, Umar Maikano commended the efforts of Mailantarki and charged the beneficiaries to make adequate utilization of the items.

He promised that the party officials will double their efforts in promoting the party to ensure that Mailantarki wins the gubernatorial elections come 2023.
