The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has commended Governor Abba Yusuf over what he described as unprecedented developmental projects across the state, while welcoming the administration’s approval of N500 million constituency projects for members of the Assembly.
Falgore said the initiative reflects the governor’s commitment to inclusive governance, accountability and grassroots development.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Shawai, the Speaker described the allocation as a strategic intervention that would enable lawmakers to undertake projects tailored to the needs of their respective constituencies.
He noted that the governor’s administration had recorded significant milestones in healthcare, education, youth and women empowerment, potable water supply and agriculture, saying the projects were already making meaningful impact on the lives of residents.
According to Falgore, Governor Yusuf’s leadership has remained people-centred, transparent and focused on delivering quality service to the people of Kano State.
The Speaker also applauded the governor for approving and commencing the construction of the ultramodern Kano State House of Assembly complex, describing the project as a landmark investment that would strengthen legislative operations and improve public service delivery.
He expressed optimism that the governor’s performance had positioned him favourably for a second term, citing his record of executing people-oriented projects across the state.
Falgore further reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting policies and programmes that promote good governance, transparency and sustainable development in Kano State.
