Nigerian singer Peter Okoye has stated that the much-publicized 2021 reunion of the famous music duo P-Square was not genuine, opening up about the unresolved issues between him and his twin brother, Paul Okoye.
In a video statement shared online, Peter explained that the reconciliation was intended solely to mend their personal relationship as brothers, rather than to permanently resume their joint music career. He revealed that the viral video of their public hug occurred after Paul apologized to his family, though a true professional partnership was never restored.
Peter rejected claims that he was responsible for the ongoing family friction, challenging anyone to provide evidence of him attacking his twin, their older brother Jude, or any family member. He also highlighted his significant contributions to writing and producing the group’s hit songs over the years.
The singer stated that he is no longer willing to remain silent and promised to share further details regarding the long-standing rift.
