Presco Plc has reported profit before tax of N122.2 billion for the half-year ended June 30, 2026 and an interim dividend of N10 per ordinary share.
In its unaudited results released on the Nigerian Exchange, Presco stated that the growth in profitability was supported by a 31.9 per cent reduction in finance costs and disciplined cost management, despite operating in a high-cost environment and experiencing softer crude palm oil prices.
Revenue closed broadly stable at N198.8 billion compared to N198.7 billion in H1 2025. The figure represents over 60% of full-year 2025 revenue.
EBITDA stood at 123.1 billion, yielding a margin of 61.9 per cent. Profit before tax of N122.2 billion already represents 69 per cent of the full-year 2025 profit before tax, reflecting what the company described as financial resilience.
The Company strengthened its balance sheet, reducing total liabilities by 42.5 per cent to N277.8 billion, while equity grew 13.8 per cent to N503.6 billion. A current ratio of 345.6 per cent underscores robust liquidity.
Speaking on the results, the managing director/chief executive officer, Reji George stated, “our H1 2026 performance underscores the strength of our operational model in a challenging environment. The 9.3 per cent growth in profit before tax, driven largely by a 31.9 per cent reduction in financing costs, reflects our deliberate focus on cost optimisation and balance sheet discipline.
With equity up 13.8 per cent and liabilities down 42.5 per cent, we have further fortified our financial foundation.
“The proposed interim dividend of N10 per share signals our confidence in the business’s trajectory and our commitment to rewarding shareholders.”
Looking ahead, Presco said it remained focused on disciplined capital allocation, operational efficiency and long-term value creation while navigating evolving market conditions.
The company also disclosed that its 2025 Annual General Meeting has been postponed due to pending appeals from court rulings related to the 2024 and 2025 AGMs.
Presco said it awaits the Court of Appeal’s judgment and reaffirms its commitment to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and shareholder transparency.
Presco Plc is Nigeria’s foremost fully integrated edible oils company, engaged in the cultivation of oil palm and the production, refining, and marketing of speciality fats and oils. Its operations are reinforced by three key subsidiaries, Ghana Oil Palm Development Company Limited (GOPDC), Siat Nigeria Limited and Saro Oil Palm Limited, extending Presco’s footprint across West Africa.
