An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Kaduna State, Baba Jibril, has dismissed renewed allegations against Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, describing them as politically motivated and lacking any legal basis.

Jibril, who stated this on Tuesday in Abuja, was reacting to the circulation of reports based on a 2006 petition against the governor. He argued that the allegations had neither been established by any court nor resulted in prosecution by any anti-corruption agency.

According to him, Nigerians should assess the governor on his record in public service rather than what he described as recycled allegations intended to discredit him.

He said Sani’s involvement in the pro-democracy movement, including his activities in the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) and the Campaign for Democracy, reflected his commitment to democratic governance long before he ventured into elective politics.
