Former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Yomi Kolawole, is set to organise a major political rally in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The proposed rally is expected to bring together political leaders, supporters, youths, women and other stakeholders from across Kabba-Bunu to demonstrate solidarity with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its leadership at both the federal and state levels.

Kolawole, presently Special Adviser, Technical on Assembly Matters, served as Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and is expected to use the event to mobilise grassroots support for the re-election bid of Governor Ododo and the continued leadership of President Tinubu.

Sources familiar with the planned event said the rally would also provide an opportunity for APC supporters to highlight the achievements of the Tinubu administration and the Ododo-led government in areas including infrastructure, security, education, agriculture and economic development.

The former Speaker has remained active in political engagements within the state, with his supporters describing the planned mobilisation as part of efforts to strengthen the APC at the grassroots ahead of the 2027 elections.

The rally is expected to attract party chieftains, elected officials, political appointees and supporters from the various local government areas of the state.

Organisers are also expected to use the occasion to reaffirm their commitment to the APC and encourage voters to support President Tinubu and Governor Ododo in the 2027 elections.

The event will take place on the 25th of this month in Kabba.
