The Kano State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated its presidential campaign council with former governor Ibrahim Shekarau as the director-general.

Inaugurating the council yesterday in Kano, chairman of the PDP Northwest Senator Bello Hayatu, said it had about 1000 members.

He said the party had drawn all  members on yellow alert to ensure victory in not only the presidential election but in all the other contests.

In his acceptance speech, Shekarau promised that his committee would do everything possible to ensure the party emerges victorious despite the case they have at the Appeal Court.
