Ahead of the 2027 general presidential election, the
National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Mary Alili Idele has launched the United States of America chapter of the Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) to rally support for the re-election bid of Bola Tinubu.

In a statement made available to newsmen, the APC National Women leader, Idele, who doubles as the founder of the Tinubu Torch Bearers announced Barrister Henry Chukwunenye Nnabugwu as the convener of TTB for USA.

The event, themed: “Renewed Hope in Action: Building the Nation from Diaspora to Development,” held at its pioneer branch, the Houston Metroplex Branch, in Sugar Land, Texas.

Dr. Idele disclosed that TTB had been inaugurated in all 36 states and the FCT of Nigeria, adding that there was need to expand the political support group outside Nigeria to expand across the world to mobilize Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

Idele said, “We are building a global coalition to defend, promote and amplify the good works of Mr. President. The diaspora has a critical role to play in projecting the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“We are spreading the support base for President Tinubu where we show people the initiatives he introduced and how they are improving living like the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) which gives interest-free loans and monthly upkeep stipends to students in public tertiary schools and vocational training centers to further their education,” she said.

She said the activities commenced a day earlier with a grand pre-inauguration dinner hosted by Barrister Henry Nnabugwu, the convener of TTB USA.

Idele announced the appointment of Barr. Henry Nnabugwu as TTB National Adviser – Diaspora, in recognition of his leadership in establishing TTB USA.

“Barrister Nnabugwu has shown capacity, loyalty and outstanding organizational ability. The reward for good work is more work,” she said.

The newly – inaugurated convener of TTB USA, Barr. Henry Nnabugwu, in his acceptance speech pledged his commitment and appealed to Nigerians all over the world to support the President’s bold reforms.

Nnabugwu said, “Our President is taking courageous and necessary decisions that many leaders before him avoided. They may be painful now, but they are the foundation for the rebirth of our nation.”

The keynote speaker, Greg Barnes, the Chairman of Fort Bend County Republican Party, said President Tinubu’s economic and security reforms align with the conservative values championed by President Donald Trump.

Barnes urged Nigerians in America to contribute meaningfully to their host nation while strengthening ties with Nigeria.

The ceremony climaxed with the symbolic presentation of the TTB Torch to the new Coordinator of the Houston Metroplex Branch, Dr. Mrs. Alero Hans, who pledged to lead with integrity, transparency, and dedication.

With Houston leading, TTB USA said it will now expand to other major American cities.
