Zenith Bank Team Tennis: Kienka Continues Unbeaten Run With Another 9-0 Rout

Kalada Kienka continued his impressive start to the 2026 Zenith Bank Team Tennis Championship at Ikoyi Club, recording his second consecutive 9-0 victory without dropping a game.

Representing the Diaspora Banking Blue Group, Kienka produced another commanding performance against Sesan Dada of the Scan to Pay Group to strengthen his team’s position in the competition.

The victory followed his equally emphatic 9-0 win over Emeka Azinge of the Prestige Banking Red Group on the opening day.

Nora Azubuike of the Scan to Pay Red Group also impressed on Day Two, defeating Itoya Etomi of the Diaspora Banking Group 7-2 in a largely one-sided encounter.

At the end of the second day, Diaspora Banking held the advantage over Scan to Pay, leading 47-41 in the overall standings.

In the Blue Group, former Ikoyi Club tennis section chairman Akeem Mustafa recorded his second victory of the tournament with a 9-0 demolition of Dominic Icha.

Adeoba Adewunmi of Zenith Aspire also secured a 7-2 victory over Wemimo Ogunsanya of Zenith Zeca.

Zenith Aspire finished Day Two at the top of the Blue Group, leading Zenith Zeca 51-46.

The competition continues on Wednesday at Ikoyi Club, with teams battling to strengthen their positions ahead of the decisive stages.

Chairman of the Ikoyi Club Tennis Section, Victor Onyenkpa, said the tournament was expected to become increasingly competitive as it progresses.

He also expressed satisfaction with the strong turnout of spectators at the event.
