The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) on Monday morning picketed the Abuja Continental Hotel over alleged anti-union activities by the management, accusing the hotel of preventing its workers from exercising their right to unionise.
The labour union mobilised its members to the hotel in Abuja, where they blocked the entrance gate and displayed placards condemning what they described as the management’s refusal to allow workers to belong to a trade union.
The protest disrupted access to the hotel as the union members demanded respect for the workers’ right to freedom of association.
