Sen Mandiya Distributes Over N1bn Empowerment Items

The senator representing Katsina South Senatorial District in the National Assembly (NASS), Hon. Bello Mandiya, has empowered residents of the zone with relief items worth over N1 billion, despite losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in the last primary elections.

The items which were distributed to women, youths, religious and traditional leaders in the 11 local government areas of the zone, was in appreciation of the people for giving him the mandate to serve them in the last four years.

He urged the people to vote for the APC in the forthcoming general elections for better representation and dividends of democracy in the state.

The items donated by the senator included two 18-seater buses meant for the Government Girls Secondary School, Kafur and Galadima Abdullahi General Hospital, Malumfashi.

Others were 202 refrigerators, 3,500 bags of fertilisers, 138 tricycles, 200 motorcycles, 750 water pumping machines and 350 grinding machines.

At the event in Kafur local government area, Governor Aminu Bello Masari thanked the senator for his gesture despite o losing the party’s ticket.

He urged him to continue and always believe in God who gives power to whosoever He chooses at the appropriate time and called on other well-to-do APC loyalists to emulate him.

 

He said, “I am happy that you conceded defeat and did not revenge or pay back the bad with bad. It’s better for one to leave 30 years doing good than to leave 100 years badly

 

“What you have done has indeed saved our party in this critical moment where we are preparing for the general elections,” Masari said
