Nigeria is expected to present a portfolio of oil and gas projects at the China Dongying International Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment and Technology Exhibition (CDYPE 2026), scheduled to hold from September 28 to 30, 2026, in Dongying, China.

This was disclosed in a statement by Tuoyo Memuduaghan of Oraso Consulting Ltd.

According to the statement, the Nigerian delegation will include petroleum regulators, government institutions, state representatives and indigenous oil and gas companies. The participants are expected to discuss financing, technology, equipment and potential partnerships with Chinese counterparts.

The statement said Oraso Consulting Ltd is coordinating the delegation in collaboration with the organising committee of CDYPE and the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing.

It added that a Nigeria-China country-focused session would bring Nigerian project owners and institutions together with Chinese financiers, engineering companies, equipment manufacturers and other potential investors.

The discussions are expected to cover long-term project finance, engineering, procurement and construction financing, joint ventures and equity partnerships, oilfield development, gas monetisation, technology transfer and technical capacity development.

The statement said particular attention would be given to financing opportunities in gas processing, modular refining, petrochemicals, pipeline infrastructure and related energy projects.

The statement further indicated that “The delegation is being structured to bring both regulators and project owners to the table. This will allow prospective investors to obtain regulatory guidance while engaging directly with Nigerian companies on specific opportunities, financing requirements and implementation plans.

“CDYPE 2026 is expected to host more than 500 exhibitors across approximately 40,000 square metres of exhibition space, with 20,000+ projected guests. Major Chinese energy companies, including Sinopec, China National Petroleum Corporation, China National Offshore Oil Corporation and PipeChina, are also participants.

“Discussions during the Nigerian session will focus on: Long term project finance; Engineering, procurement and construction finance; Joint ventures and equity partnerships; Oilfield development and gas monetisation; and Technology transfer and technical capacity development.

“A major priority for the Nigerian delegation will be securing structured and long-term capital for viable projects.”

It said the participation of regulators alongside project owners would enable discussions on regulatory requirements, financing needs and project implementation.

The exhibition is expected to feature more than 500 exhibitors across approximately 40,000 square metres of exhibition space. Chinese energy companies, including Sinopec, China National Petroleum Corporation, China National Offshore Oil Corporation and PipeChina, are also expected to participate.

The statement said discussions initiated during the exhibition could continue after the event, including through technical consultations, due diligence and negotiations on commercial arrangements.

The China Dongying International Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment and Technology Exhibition is an international exhibition focused on the petroleum and petrochemical industries. It brings together energy companies, investors, manufacturers, engineering firms, technology providers and government institutions from China and other countries
