Liverpool have agreed a deal worth up to £123m with Paris St-Germain for France forward Bradley Barcola as they continue to strengthen their attacking options.

The Reds are set to pay an initial £106m for the 23-year-old, with a further £17m available in potential add-ons. PSG had initially valued Barcola at around £145m.

Barcola is expected to undergo a medical this weekend before signing a long-term contract with the Premier League champions.

The right-footed forward primarily operates from the left wing, but his versatility allows him to play on the right or through the middle.

His imminent arrival could further raise questions over Cody Gakpo’s future at Anfield. Multiple sources have told BBC Sport that Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have expressed interest in the Netherlands international.

Liverpool are also pursuing a right winger and have explored potential moves for Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh and Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr.

Barcola has emerged as a key target as Liverpool reshape their attack following the departures of Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah over the past two summers.

He joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 for a reported £38.5m and has since enjoyed considerable success in France and Europe, winning three Ligue 1 titles, two Champions League trophies and two French Cups, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

Barcola also scored three goals for France at this summer’s World Cup.

His ability to operate centrally could prove particularly useful to Liverpool, with the forward capable of providing cover for Alexander Isak while Hugo Ekitike continues his recovery from a serious Achilles injury.
