White House Launches 24/7 ‘Trump TV’ Streaming Channel After CNN Ban 

The White House has launched a 24-hour streaming channel branded “Trump TV”, giving viewers direct access to videos, presidential remarks, announcements and other content from President Donald Trump’s administration.

The White House announced the launch on its official X account on Monday, describing the platform as a real-time stream featuring selected moments and updates from the administration.

“IT’S LIVE. Trump TV is Streaming Now. 24/7, updated in real time, with top past moments, announcements, and the latest and greatest from the administration all in one place,” the White House said.

It added: “Not every big moment has made it on your tv, now it can.”

The channel, officially titled “TRUMP TV: The Essentials Station,” is accessible through the White House website and its YouTube channel.

According to the White House, the platform will showcase what it considers the administration’s “biggest moments,” including videos, major presidential remarks, announcements and other highlights.

The launch comes against the backdrop of a growing dispute between the Trump administration and some major US news organisations over media access to the White House.

The administration recently barred CNN, Politico and MS NOW from accessing White House grounds, a decision that prompted the three media organisations to sue.

The dispute subsequently widened after major television networks, including ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC, suspended their shared White House pool coverage in solidarity with the affected outlets.

The White House has defended its position on media access, while Trump has repeatedly criticised coverage by news organisations he has accused of unfair reporting and described as “fake news.”

Despite its 24/7 format, the first Trump TV broadcast did not feature a live presidential event. Instead, it aired previously recorded footage, including Trump’s July 3 address at Mount Rushmore.

The new streaming platform provides the White House with a direct channel for distributing video content featuring Trump and his administration, reducing its reliance on traditional television networks to reach viewers.
