The Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) have commenced a women-led grassroots mobilisation campaign across Ondo State for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The Ondo State chapter of the group was inaugurated in Akure, the state capital, by the APC National Women Leader and Convener of TTB, Dr Mary Alile Idele.
Idele said the initiative was aimed at mobilising women at the grassroots and encouraging them to take active roles in voter education and the electoral process.
She described the inauguration as a “declaration of purpose”, saying APC women were organised and determined to deploy their voices, networks and grassroots structures towards the party’s political activities.

She said, “Our responsibility towards 2027 is simple. APC women must understand that our political strength must be translated into active political participation. Women must not only attend rallies. We must participate in voters’ education. We must understand the electoral process.”
Idele urged members of TTB to take the message of the group to their homes and communities, while calling for continued support for Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking at the event, Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, said the group had an important role to play in taking the message of the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda to the grassroots through facts, engagement and constructive dialogue.
Aiyedatiwa, who was represented by his Deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, said the group should mobilise citizens, particularly women and youths, around the achievements and ongoing reforms of the Federal Government.
The governor also declared the state’s support for Tinubu’s re-election bid, saying he had issued an executive order declaring Ondo State “for Tinubu, 2027”.

He said, “For us in Ondo State, our answer is an affirmative yes. And in line with this, I have already issued an executive order, declaring Ondo State for Tinubu, 2027. This declaration is sacrosanct.”
Aiyedatiwa said Ondo State had benefited from its collaboration with the Federal Government, adding that federal policies and interventions aligned with his administration’s development agenda.
He urged members of the TTB to conduct their mobilisation activities responsibly and engage communities through dialogue rather than propaganda.
The First Lady of Ondo State, Mrs Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, also urged members of the group to see their responsibilities as a call to service, saying the initiative should promote grassroots participation, women’s empowerment and responsible political engagement.
She called on women to demonstrate leadership and commitment, while urging youths and community leaders to contribute to national development.

The inauguration brought together APC women and other party members as the Ondo State chapter of the Tinubu Torch Bearers commenced its mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
