The Zamfara State governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the 2027 general elections, Alhaji Sani Yusuf Danmasani, has unveiled his strategy and commenced statewide consultations ahead of the polls.
Speaking with journalists in Maradun on Sunday, Danmasani said his major strategy would be aggressive youth mobilisation across all wards and the 14 local government areas of the state.
He said his campaign team would hold town hall meetings across the state to market the party’s development agenda.
According to him, the Labour Party is committed to rebuilding Zamfara State if given the mandate by the electorate in 2027.
“The Labour Party has a robust and practical plan to bring sustainable development in various critical sectors, especially education, economy and security, which are the major challenges facing our dear state,” he said.
Danmasani disclosed that the party would develop a comprehensive economic blueprint that would serve as a roadmap for the economic recovery and development of the state.
On the security challenges bedevilling the state, the LP candidate said the party would deploy a holistic and intelligence-driven strategy to tackle insecurity and restore peace for socio-economic activities to thrive.
“Labour Party is deeply concerned about what is happening in Zamfara State and the entire North-West region. Security of lives and property will be our top priority,” he said.
He further explained that if elected, a Labour Party administration would prioritise poverty alleviation through youth inclusiveness in government programmes and policies.
“We shall make skills acquisition programmes compulsory for our youths so that they can become economically independent right at a tender age,” he added.
He said the initiative was aimed at reducing over-dependence of youths on government jobs after graduation and enabling them to establish their own businesses after completing training at various vocational centres.
