Tinubu Supported 4 Northerners To Be President, North Can’t Betray Him – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Kaduna State chapter has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had supported four northerners to be president of Nigeria at different times and the north would not betray or abandon him in 2027 election.

APC narrated that in 1992 Tinubu supported late Gen. Shehu Musa Yar’adua to lead Nigeria, adding that in 2007 Tinubu the then governor of Lagos State gave his political platform the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to contest the presidential election.

Addressing a news conference in Kaduna ahead of Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign flag-off, Kaduna State APC Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Sani Haruna said Tinubu also supported former chairman Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu as he had emerged the presidential candidate of the former Action Congress (AC).

Haruna noted that with Tinubu’s backing of late former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, Buhari won the presidential election after three unsuccessful attempts in 2003, 2007 and 2011.

According to APC, “There is no better solidarity or show of love for northern Nigeria than the choice of Kaduna as the city to host the flag of the presidential campaign for the 2027 election. This is because Kaduna state or Kaduna has that kind of appeal and almost every northerner has some sentimental attachment to Kaduna. And Kaduna being the former capital of northern Nigeria encompasses the interests of every northern Nigerian living or dead”

“So Kaduna being the center and the former capital of northern Nigeria is the heartbeat of northern Nigeria. So anybody that chooses Kaduna for whatever action he wants to execute, he is not showing solidarity or love to the city of Kaduna. Rather, he is showing that love to the whole of northern Nigeria because of the commitment or because of the sentiment northerners have for Kaduna as a city and the city where the premier of northern Nigeria lived and died”

Haruna stated further that, “There is no place that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has chosen that is best suited for the declaration of his campaign like the city of Kaduna. This is because of the leadership style of Senator Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna state”

“And today in Kaduna state, there’s no any opposition in Kaduna state. We are sure Mr. President, we are sure the APC family that Kaduna state is going to lead the pack that will take Mr. President to Asorok for the second coming in May 29th, 2027. That is because of the leadership side of Senator Obasani, the governor of Kaduna state and because of his side of bringing everybody and enthroning peace in Kaduna state”
