The Kashim Musa Tumsah (KMT) Movement has dismissed reports of any arrangement or agreement with any group in Yobe State over the recently released APC Campaign Advisory Council list.
In a statement issued on Friday by its spokesman, Abubakar Ahmed, the movement said a lot of false narratives and misconceptions had emerged since the publication of the list regarding the position of its principal, KMT.
The movement clarified that neither KMT nor the KMT Movement had reached any arrangement or agreement with anyone in the state regarding the gubernatorial campaigns.
It added that its principal and members of the movement remained in the APC and would work for the success of the party, especially in the presidential election.
According to Abubakar, the movement is still awaiting the outcome of the court process before taking a definite position on who to support during the gubernatorial election.
The statement urged all its structures and supporters across Yobe State and beyond to remain calm and await further directives from the KMT Movement secretariat.
It also advised the general public to disregard any comment, statement, or false narrative emanating from any source other than the movement’s secretariat.
