The Director of Media of the Abia State Labour Party Campaign Council, Onyebuchi Ememanka, has assured that the directorate will successfully execute its assignment and justify the confidence reposed in it.
Ememanka, who is also the Director-General of the State Strategic Communications Bureau, gave the assurance while speaking with LEADERSHIP Sunday in Umuahia, the state capital.
He attributed the task to the achievements of Governor Alex Otti’s administration across various sectors of the state’s economy in less than four years in office.
According to him, the governor’s projects across the 17 local government areas in education, healthcare and road infrastructure, among other sectors, as well as his insistence on merit in appointments, demonstrate the administration’s performance.
“His developmental projects across the 17 local government areas in education, healthcare, and road infrastructure among others and his insistence on merit in his appointments, speak volumes,” he said.
Ememanka, however, said the directorate would not relent in its efforts, despite what he described as widespread public knowledge of the transformation taking place in the state under Otti’s administration.
He said another advantage was that the directorate was campaigning for the re-election of a governor who, in his view, had demystified governance.
The media director also dismissed opposition claims that the Otti administration lacked transparency, insisting that public funds were being properly managed to provide social amenities for residents.
The legal practitioner maintained that the state had not experienced such progress before the emergence of the current administration and expressed optimism that residents would enjoy better days ahead under Otti.
