Former Jigawa State Governor and Director-General of Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A), Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, has said the movement exceeded its mobilisation target at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna, attributing the achievement to its growing grassroots structures across Northern Nigeria.

The ex-defence Minister, who expressed satisfaction with the massive turnout at Saturday’s rally, described the mobilisation as a major success and commended members and supporters for their commitment to Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He said the impressive participation of supporters from different parts of the North demonstrated the effectiveness of A4A’s mobilisation structures and the determination of its members to work collectively towards a common political objective.

The former governor praised the movement’s national leadership, state coordinators and grassroots mobilisation teams for their dedication and effective coordination, which he said contributed to the strong presence of A4A members at the rally.

Badaru also appreciated supporters who travelled from various locations to attend the event, describing their participation as a demonstration of the movement’s organisational capacity and expanding political reach.

According to him, exceeding the mobilisation target reflected the ability of A4A structures across Northern Nigeria to coordinate their activities and sustain support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

He reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to strengthening its grassroots presence, expanding community engagement and sustaining mobilisation activities across the region as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections intensify.

Badaru described the Kaduna rally as a significant milestone in A4A’s political mobilisation efforts, expressing confidence that the movement would build on the turnout through sustained coordination and wider engagement with communities across Northern Nigeria.
