……Urges Nigerians To Reject APC Over Insecurity, Hunger…
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Seyi Makinde has urged Nigerians to accept any money offered to them by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2027 general elections, but vote according to their conscience.
Makinde said Nigerians should not reject money offered to them during the electioneering period, stressing that such money belonged to the people, who should nevertheless remain committed to their preferred candidates.
He made the call on Saturday in Bauchi, during the flag-off of his presidential campaign, urging voters not to allow financial inducements to determine their electoral choices.
“When they come with money during the election, do not bother to reject it. If the money is yours, collect it and spend it. But guard your conscience and make the right decision when the time comes. I know that your hearts are with us and with me,” he said.
The APM candidate also called on Nigerians dissatisfied with the country’s current situation, particularly insecurity, hunger and the government’s inability to address pressing national challenges, to support his party.
“If you are unhappy with the situation in our country today, particularly the growing insecurity, hunger and the inability of the government to address the challenges confronting Nigerians, then there is only one party for us. That party is the party of respect for Nigeria,” he said.
Makinde urged Nigerians to identify with the APM’s political movement, describing its supporters as “Resetters”.
He said the party was committed to respecting communities, strengthening the country’s security architecture and creating a socio-political environment that would enable more Nigerians to participate meaningfully in governance.
The presidential candidate commended the party’s national leader and Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, for hosting the campaign flag-off.
He also appreciated the APM National Chairman for providing him with the platform to contest the presidency and present his vision for serving Nigerians.
Makinde said the party was determined to offer Nigerians an alternative political direction capable of addressing the country’s challenges.
