Céline Dion had a memorable night at Metallica’s Las Vegas residency, showing off her enthusiasm for the band’s music by pretending to play bass along with the performers.
A video circulating on Instagram captured the singer standing inside a Sphere suite and copying the movements of bassist Robert Trujillo during an instrumental performance with guitarist Kirk Hammett.
The appearance also attracted other familiar faces, including Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash and members of No Doubt.
Dion’s interest in Metallica goes beyond a one-off concert visit. She previously revealed that the band’s music features on her personal playlist, partly because her son Eddy is a fan. She even attempted an impression of frontman James Hetfield while discussing the group.
The singer has also been making headlines for her return to the stage. After stepping away from full-length concerts for six years because of health difficulties linked to stiff-person syndrome, she resumed live performances with a Paris residency in September.
Meanwhile, Metallica’s Life Burns Faster residency began at the Sphere on October 1, bringing the band’s distinctive No Repeat Weekend format to Las Vegas.
