The police in Adamawa State have arrested Sgt Aliyu Yusuf in connection with the killing of Maryam Abdullahi.
A statement made available to newsmen yesterday by police spokesman SP Suleiman Yahaya said the Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola on behalf of Command, condoled with the family Maryam Abdullahi over the sudden and unfortunate incident that claimed her life.
The incident occurred in late Thursday along Doubeli Culvert, Yola North local government area.
The commissioner acknowledged the command’s cordial working relationship with the people of Adamawa
and directed the deputy commissioner of police in charge of CID to take over investigation and ensure that the law take its course.
