Deputy chief whip of the House if Representatives, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has challenged candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) änd other political parties in Abia State to campaign with their achievements to prove to the electorate that they deserve their votes in the upcoming elections
Onyejeocha threw the challenge yesterday when she received the Abia State All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Ikechi Emenike, in her constituency during a campaign rally.
The lawmaker who represents Isiukwuato-Imunneochi federal constituency listed her contributions to humanity before joining politics and the projects she has attracted to the people since she was elected, especially under the ruling All Progressives Congress.
She said her records speak for her as she had delivered and promised to “continue to build on what had been achieved in the past.
She said, “Aside my contributions in other areas, donations to schools, construction of civic centres, scholarships for JAMB, SSCE and for university students, I have delivered on my promises.
“I have delivered. APC has delivered. We have something to campaign with. Let other political parties tell us what they have done.
“APC has done so much in this constituency, and by extension Abia State because Isiukwator-Umunneochi is part of Abia State.
“There is no zone in Isiukwuato that has not benefitted from the construction of road and none is less than one kilometre and that’s the minimum. The same thing in Umunneochi.
“The construction of school of aviation is ongoing. The classrooms and administrative blocks have been completed by the APC government. We have done three-kilometre concrete road on that aviation school road.
“We have attracted several borehole projects in the constituency. For 15 years, I have been holding free medical care in this constituency, Onyejeocha said and urged her supporters to vote Emenike for his role in attracting the Federal Polytechnic in Umunneochi to the community.
