Gov Umahi Warns Against Attacks On Banks, Personnel

Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has warned against attacks on bank facilities and personnel and mandated security operatives to deal decisively with anyone or group that attempts to cause violence and disrupt peace in the state.

The governor appealed to people of the state to shun all forms of violence even in this period of hardship and

commended security agencies for beefing up security at the Central Bank of Nigeria office and commercial banks in the state.

He said security agencies prevented  possible attacks on the financial institutions and promptly deployed personnel.

Umahi who spoke in Abakaliki announced the distribution of palliatives to residents of the state, adding that the aim was to cushion the effects of hardships caused by the currency redesign policy of the federal government.

The governor said his administration would continue to support the federal government’s policies and appealed to the people to be patient with the administration.
