Police Arrest 5 Armed Thugs, Recover 5 Pump Action Guns In Anambra

Five suspected armed thugs have been arrested by the police in Anambra state.

Police also recovered five automatic pump action guns from the thugs in Ihiala local government area of the state.

Commissioner of police in the state, CP Aderemi Adeoye warned that the command will not tolerate any act of thuggery, ballot-box snatching or any breach of electoral law and the guidelines.

Also, spokesperson of the police in Anambra state, deputy superintendent of police, DSP, Ikenga Tochukwu who confirmed the arrest said that the suspects were already being detained at the facilities of the state police command.

Tochukwu said in a short statement: “Five armed thugs arrested in ihiala and five automatic pump action guns recovered”.

Tochukwu promised to give further details on the incident later.
