The Niger State governor-elect, Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago will run a people-centered government, secretary of media and publicity directorate of the 2023 Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Salman Yusuf, has said.

Yusuf, in a statement yesterday, titled; “Hon. Bago’s victory: A triumph of sense and wisdom- a festival of appreciation and thanks,” said his victory was a glorious triumph of the voters.

Bago emerged governor-elect under the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the recently concluded governorship election.

He said, “This is a great victory based on the optimism of the overwhelming number of the electorate who agreed that Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago is a man of ideas; a man who is sure to stand with them, a man who will speak to them in the language they will understand.

“Hon. Bago is like a shoulder that carries the burden/luggage of the stressed, the dispirited and the deprived; an uncommon leader, a doubtless compatriot with blood of patriotism, compassion, equity, justice, fairness etc. running in his veins.

“Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago’s triumph at the polls portrays him as a genuinely inspiring and transformational leader whose emergence is rare in generations, especially in this epoch where finding good leaders is becoming harder and harder,” he said.

He added that Bago’s victory will dismantle the wedge between the leader as he has the ability and courage of his conviction to govern the state, putting the overall interests of Nigerlites as his top most agenda.
