A Bauchi State-based non-governmental organisation, the Wunti Al-Khair Foundation has trained members of joint Islamic Aid Organisation (security volunteers) on basic and technical skills on crowd and traffic management, emergency response to ensure orderliness and free-flow of traffic during the Eid-el-fitr celebration in Bauchi state.

A philanthropic, foundation chairman and patriotic indigene of Bauchi local government area, Alhaji Bala Wunti shouldered the volunteers’ two-day training held at the Bauchi Central Mosque Jama’atul Nasril Islam (JNI) on Sunday.

At the training, the director of National Aid Group of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) Alhaji Bala Ibrahim Sani recalled that the foundation chairman had for years been shouldering such Islamic promotional activities by giving volunteers the desired knowledge to carry out their duties.

He said the training is the fifth of its kind being sponsored by Bala Wunti, saying “We lack words to express our gratitude to the founder of the foundation other than pray for bountiful rewards from Allah”.

Sani who is also the Lifidin Bauchi, disclosed that the foundation trained 150 Islamic Aids members who can also step it down to other volunteers towards making the forthcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebration smooth, orderly and accident-free.

Lifidin Bauchi noted with delight that the trained volunteers would complement the efforts of corps of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), the Red Cross operatives and other sister/voluntary organisations for a peaceful Ei-del fitr celebration.

He also spoke of the need for the foundation leader to further assist with the provision of some ambulance vehicles for needful medical services during such voluntary activities.

The foundation chairman, Alhaji Bala Wunti said that the training of the ‘Yan Agaji is geared to ease the conduct and celebration of Eid-el-fitr by the Muslims Ummah slated for next week.

Wunti, who is a group general manager, National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS), said the exercise was informed by the foundation’s determination to ensure that the thousands of Muslim faithful attending various Eid Grounds are properly guided.
