Habiba died yesterday in Zaria, aged 79, and was buried according to Islamic rites. Her husband, Idris, the 18th Emir of Zazzau, passed away on September 20, 2020.

The speaker in a press release by his special adviser on media and publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi yesterday, said the Zazzau Emirate and indeed Kaduna State had lost a true mother.

The Iyan Zazzau described the late Hajiya Habiba Shehu Idris as a dedicated and committed woman who served humanity with zeal and sacrifice.

Noting that he was deeply touched by the news of her death, Speaker Abbas prayed to Allah (SWT) to make Jannatul Firdaus her final abode.
