The abducted former member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Sylvester Okeke has been released.
LEADERSHIP learned that the former representative of Anaocha constituency 1 of Anambra State Assembly was released by his abductors in the early hours of yesterday after being held for about three days.
A source in Agulu home town of the former legislator hinted that, “He ( Hon. Okeke) has been released in the early hours of today ( Monday). He was found around that Ring Road, Awka area where his car was found after he was abducted.”
The source, however, said that details about how he was kidnapped and how he was later released were still sketchy because he has not opened up to tell what happened to him.
LEADERSHIP had reported few hours before the former legislator was set free by his abductors that he got missing last Friday evening on his way back to Awka, the state capital after attending the national executive committee meeting of his town, Agulu Peoples Union, APU where he is the national vice-president.
