The commissioner was kidnapped on Monday at his residence in Nassarawa-Eggon LGA of the state.
Police said the commissioner regained freedom around 6pm yesterday and was reunited with his family. He said the commissioner was taken to the hospital for medical examination.
The police spokesperson said no suspect had been arrested in connection with the abduction, adding that the police would not relent until the perpetrators are arrested.
