The governor also approved 27.5 percent teachers specific allowance( TSA) for teachers across the state.
While the allowance granted the civil servants take effect from December 2025, that of the teachers will take effect in January 2026.

The increments in both the civil servants and teachers salaries were geared toward making life more comfortable for the beneficiaries.

AbdulRazaq, had on Monday approved 27.5 percent teachers specific allowance (TSA) for teachers across the state, giving effect to his pledge at the budget presentation earlier in the day.

The governor’s chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye broke the cheery news in a statement.
Ajakaye said governor directed that teachers should enjoy the allowance effective from January 2026.

“The 27.5% allowance applies to TRCN-certificated teachers across Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) under CONKWESS I, while 21% applies to those without TRCN.

“The governor again acknowledged the indispensable role and commitment of the teachers to the education sector, commending them for their efforts in nation building,” he added.
The governor’s kind gestures had drew applause from the stakeholders and the organised labour in the state.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state commended the governor for approving 30 percent peculiar allowance for civil servants in the state .

The state chairman of the NLC, Comrade Saheed Murtala gave the commendation in a letter titled : ” A letter of appreciation on the approval of 30% peculiar allowance to core civil servants” addressed to the governor.

The letter partly reads:” The workers in Kwara State are grateful to His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for this remarkable turning point in the history of civil service in Kwara State.
