Traditional ruler of Ekeoba Ancient Kingdom, Ohuhu, Umuahia, Abia State, HRM Eze Iheanyichukwu Nwokenna, has rated the state governor, Dr. Alex.Otti high on performance
Eze Nwokenna made the observation while contributing to a live radio programme on Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State in the state capital, Umuahia.
Tagged the ‘Truth” the programme is powered by Abia State Policy Innovation Centre through the office of the special adviser to the governor on Policies and Interventions, Rev Fr Christian Anokwuru.
He said the performance include touching all facets of the state’s economy including the recent electric bus, which is offering free services that begun in December to this month.
The monarch further lauded the gradual return of night life in the capital and Aba the commercial business hub after a prolonged absence of such situation due to power blackout.
He noted that “the moment he took office, he started fixing Aba by reconstructing roads, remodelling markets, reviving moribund industries among others”.
“It is also gratifying to note that he has  started clearing up salary arrears and leave allowances owed the workers by the previous administration,” he further noted
Lending his voice, a human rights activist and public Affairs analyst, Comrade Paul Njoku commend Otti for his timely payment of salaries.
Njoku said workers can easily go to any bank of their choice and obtain loan which can help them solve their long time or immediate problems.
He advised those criticizing him to be constructive adding that when you look at the past administrations and the present you see a sharp difference in terms of what they did.
Njoku also thanked him for the numerous ongoing work in Aba and Umuahia adding that the last time he travelled to Aba, he was amazed by the changes he saw.
