The Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Abia State has appealed to the state government to pay their members their May and June salaries.

In addition, the chapter also wants the Alex Otti-led administration to pay them their consequential adjustment of N10,000.00 which was approved by the immediate past administration.

The chairman of the chapter, Kenneth Nwasuka, made the call when they paid the secretary to the state government, Kenneth Kalu, a courtesy visit in his office in Umuahia, the state capital.

He said they went to familiarise with and pledge their support for the administration as well congratulate him for the appointment and bring their challenges to his notice.

In his response, Kalu reminded them that they were a critical component of the administration, appealing to them to be dedicated to their duties and responsibilities

The secretary to the state government who assured them that their requests would be looked into, advised them to make sincerity of purpose their watchword to succeed.
