Abia State government yesterday directed the immediate sealing of the popular Bakassi Market, Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the state over insecurity.

This was contained in a statement by the secretary to the state government, Chris Ezem, which was sighted by LEADERSHIP in Umuahia, the state capital.

The statement directed the state commissioner of police to ensure immediate enforcement of the directive till further notice to avoid further breach of peace in and around the market.
