The deputy governor, Ikechukwu Emetu stated this at a meeting with relevant ministries, departments and agencies on how to boost the internally generated revenue of the state at Government House, Umuahia, the capital.

“This administration is determined to block all revenue leakages just as the stoppage of collection of illegal levies remains sacrosanct in line with its zero tolerance for corrupt practices,” he said.

He announced the administration’s approval for the ministries to retain 20 per cent of their revenue and the board of internal revenue to furnish his office regularly with details of the revenue windows.

Emetu, who requested permanent secretaries, directors of administration, and finance in the state to also forward detailed reports of their own transactions lauded them for their cooperation
