In a bold show of community support and commitment to youth development, Abuja9800 Sports Club, a leading sports organization in the capital, has renovated key sports infrastructure and donated vital sporting equipment to schools across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
As part of its annual outreach initiative, the club undertook the renovation of a volleyball court at Government Science School, Maitama, including the installation of a new net and provision of volleyballs. Meanwhile, Bakin Ado Primary School, Karu, Nasarawa benefited from donations of football jerseys, goalposts, nets, and footballs—all geared toward improving student participation in sports.
Speaking at the official handover, Mr. Ini Archibong, President of Abuja9800 Sports Club, reaffirmed the club’s enduring commitment to giving back to its host communities.
“This year, we chose to focus on sports development in schools because we believe that access to proper facilities and equipment can inspire students to embrace sports and stay active,” he said.
Mr. Archibong also revealed that the club plans to reach even more schools in future editions of the program, expanding its impact across the FCT.
The gesture was warmly received by staff and students of both beneficiary schools. Representatives from Government Science School, Maitama and Bakin Ado primary school, Karu, Nasarawa state commended the club for its generosity, noting that the improved facilities would significantly enhance student engagement in extracurricular sports.
