The group also congratulated Tinubu on his victory at the Supreme Court which affirmed his election as Nigeria’s president.

It noted that the apex court’s judgment has put to rest the legal tussles over the February 25, 2023 presidential election.

The chairman and national coordinator of the group, Chief Nathaniel Dosumu, in a statement made available to newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara State said.

“We praise and salute President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who in spite of the court matters at both Presidential Elections Tribunal and later, the Supreme Court of Nigeria remained focused while steering the affairs of the country from May 29, 2023; the day that he hit the ground running. The President had since that date, been doing so steadily well in the most unwavering manner.

The group enjoined Nigerians, particularly the people in opposition parties to embrace the olive branch extended to them by President Tinubu and join hands with him in moving the country forward.

“Most importantly, we like to ask the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Dr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) to at this point consider the wellbeing of Nigeria first, bearing in mind that in every contest, there will always the winner who carry the day and as good citizens that they are, their contributions at this point to make governance excel is what the citizens are requiring of them,” it added.

The TSTA hailed  the large heartedness of President Tinubu , who in a unique manner is inviting the duo of Alhaji Abubakar and Dr. Peter Gregory Obi who were his strongest opponents in the presidential elections to join hands with him  even when they dragged him to court over the results of the election.

“To us in the TSTA, for Tinubu to still spread open arms to his rivals in the manner that he did and as well do the same to other political parties asking them to join him  in the task of giving to the nation a befitting governance, simply shows a manifestation of the good spirit of statesmanship in him. “

The group pleaded with all Nigerians to see the work of a nation building at this austere time as a task that needed to be jointly done with a dedicated heart of perseverance, sacrifice and commitment to the arduous efforts aimed to take Nigeria out of the state of doldrums it is plunged into, in recent years.

It added:” We are assuring the citizenry that the present hard situation in the country is only for a while in order to lay a sound foundation to ensure an enduring good things of life for all and sundry.
