Residents of Kajuru local government area of Kaduna State have said road construction and other infrastructure embarked upon by Governor Uba Sani were curbing security challenges and improving agricultural productivity in the area.
The residents stated this during a visit by All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders and the media to some of the road projects and other infrastructure in Kajuru.
Speaking to the media, a resident, Daniel Yakubu Sisinkobo, said aside from checking the security challenges, the road network would not only make responses to any security threats easy but also encourage residents to go back to their homes and farm.
He said the 12.5-kilometer road from Kasuwan Magani to Wusar would benefit farmers as selling their farm produce had been a problem due to deplorable roads.
Yakubu stressed that the road which is now 80% completed, had enabled farmers to move their farm produce to the market without difficulties.
Similarly, the village head of Ungwan Aku, John Makadashi, said the 13-kilometer road from Fadama Kororo to Kutura had made communities in the axis safe.
The chairman of Kajuru LG, Dauda Madaki, said before the ongoing road construction from Fadama Kororo to Kutura, it usually took security operatives two hours to respond to distress calls and that made bandits thrive, but now, the situation has changed.
