President of the newly elected executive committee of the chamber, Geoffrey Uzoagbara made the appeal in an audience with the chief of staff to the governor, Caleb Ajagba in Umuahia, the capital.

He said such inclusion will provide the chamber opportunity to make informed and meaningful contributions to the economic development of the state and the private sector.

Accompanied by members of the committee, Uzoagbara commended the governor, Alex Otti for his bold initiatives in developing the state and thanked Ajagba for the audience.

Contributing, the vice presidents on intergovernmental relations, and oil and gas Joseph Ogwo and Ekene Enukeme harped on the need for a permanent trade fair in the state as obtained in others.

In his response, the chief of staff, charged the chamber to queue into the new economic wave of the administration to return the lost glory of Aba as the business hub of the state.

“The administration’s giant strides across every sector of the economy of the state is an indication of the commitment of Governor Otti to building a new Abia of our desire,” he said.

Speaking, the commissioner for trade, commerce, and industry, Chimezie Ukegbu, and the adviser to the governor on the same, Nwaka Inem, assured the chamber of their collaborations.
