The programme and consortium coordinator, AAN, Aliyu Adamu during the training in Kaduna with the theme; ‘Strengthening Media Advocacy for Fiscal Responsibility and Good Governance to PVE’ urged media practitioners to focus on holding government accountable on proffered mechanisms to tackle extremism which is fast becoming a major hindrance to development.

A development expert, Seun Akioye, during his presentation urged journalists not to frame their stories to cause violence in the society, saying they should be seekers of truth.
According to Akioye, journalists should refrain from doing any harm before doing any good.

Beevan Magoni who spoke on ‘Understanding Conflict and Violence Extremism As A Journalist’ tasked the media practitioners on solution journalism.
