Adamawa By-election: INEC Declares APC’s Jauro Winner Of Ganye Assembly Seat

The candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), Misa Musa Jauro has been declared winner of the Ganye State Constituency held on Saturday.

Jauro scored a total of 16,923 to defeat his opponent from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Buba Muhammad Joda who got 16,794 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Returning Officer for the by-election, Professor Tukur Ahmed declared the results early Sunday morning.

The by-election was conducted to fill the vacancy in the state House of Assembly.

The vacancy was created in May last year when the member representing the constituency, Abdulmalik Musa, died.
